A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the death in prison of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
